Mission Statement

The 9th Chancery Court Intervention Court encourages drug-free living through intense supervision, accountability, family involvement, peer support or mentorship, educational navigation, and effective treatment to reduce abuse, promote recovery and improve the quality of life for youth, their families, and the community.

The 9th Chancery Intervention Court is a specialized court with our Youth Court System that is designed provide services for youth offenders who use and abuse addictive substances including but not limited to drugs and/or alcohol.  Our team consist of the judiciary, prosecution, defense, case management, treatment providers, social service providers, the family, law enforcement and mental health.  Youth offenders who are adjudicated as delinquent based on a crime involving drugs or whose addiction has contributed to their delinquency are given an opportunity to participate in the intervention court and upon successful completion their case is either passed to the file or dismissed.
